Trena Banks is a painter from Georgia who received her BFA from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Banks has exhibited throughout Georgia and the southern United States. She has had solo exhibitions at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA and The University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. Notable group exhibitions include, “Atlanta Biennale” at the Nexus Contemporary Art Center (now the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center); “Atlanta Artists” at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem, NC; and “The Corner Art Show” in Athens GA. Her work is included in numerous collections, including the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA; the Columbia Museum of Art in Columbia, SC; the Chattahoochee Valley Art Association in LaGrange, GA; and various private collections.
