GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS

GENERAL REVIEW & EXHIBITION CONSIDERATION

MOCA GA’s exhibition schedule is planned at least two years in advance. The Museum hosts 4-10 exhibitions per year, working with guest curators on a regular basis and annually presenting work from the MOCA GA Permanent Collection. All solo exhibition feature exclusively works by Georgia artists. Georgia artists are defined by those who are currently working within the state and/or have contributed significantly to the arts in Georgia. The Director retains the right to determine whether an artist is a Georgia artist. All group exhibitions include Georgia artists, and many time alongside other nation and/or international artists of merit.

MOCA GA reviews artist’s submission quarterly. This opportunity is reserved for artists over the age of 18. No electronic submissions will be reviewed. Please mail or hand-deliver submissions to:

The artist should submit the following in order to be considered for exhibition:

1) Exhibition proposal

2) Current resume and artist statement

3) Copies of review/press or other relevant supporting materials

4) Samples of their work in digital format. No more than 10 images will be reviewed. All images should be high resolution, preferably in jpeg, tiff, or Powerpoint format, on a CD.

5) A sheet identifying the images, should also be included, with the following for each work:

• The artist’s name
• Title of the artwork
• Date of the artwork
• Description of the medium
• Dimensions of the piece
• Any other relevant details (site-specific location, details about series or process, etc...)

MOCA GA will NOT return any materials submitted. All materials will be personally reviewed by the MOCA GA Director, and a response will be generated through either email or standard postage.
