The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA) will celebrate its ten-year anniversary August 3, 2010. It seems like yesterday that we opened our doors. We are planning many exciting celebrations including a special MOCA GALA 2010 on April 10, 2010. Our honorees this year will be Lucinda and Bob Bunnen. Their children Belinda Reusch, Melissa Bunnen Jernigan and Rob Bunnen will be honored as well and will serve as co-chairs of the host committee.

Much will be happening during this coming year. As always we have a very active exhibition schedule with programs planned around each. Some surprises are in store for you. In addition to our exhibitions, we have received funding to continue our newest initiative, Café MOCA, for high school and young college art students; and we will bring back two of our very popular events - Art for Everyone and the Pin Up Show and Sale.

We are happy to report that MOCA GA recently received funding from the Metropolitan Arts Fund and has already been awarded a number of major grants for the coming year including awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Charles Loridans Foundation. Along with grants, we rely on donations from individuals in the form of memberships, special appeals and gifts to the annual fund.

Your contribution to this year's annual fund will allow MOCA GA to fulfill its mission to collect and archive significant, contemporary works by the artists of the state of Georgia and to create programs that promote the visual arts by creating a forum for active interchange between artists and the community.
