Rick Berman

(b. American)

Rick Berman is a studio potter, workshop leader, curator, and ceramic historian. He has served as associate editor of Clay Times Magazine and founded and directed the Callanwolde Ceramics program. Berman has taught at The University of Georgia, West Georgia College, North Georgia College, and Georgia State University.  Berman’s work is featured in many collections, including The High Museum of Art; The Georgia Museum of Art, Athens; Albany Museum; The Art Institute of Chicago, IL; Harriet Tubman Museum, Macon, GA; Penland School of Crafts, NC; Macon Museum of Arts & Sciences and many private collections. In 2003, Berman curated CLAY, an exploration of the medium, at MOCA GA.
