This exhibit includes works from twenty Georgia artists:

Amalia Amaki, Benny Andrews, Maria Artemis, Radcliffe Bailey, Beverly Buchanan, Harry Callahan, Annette Cone-Skelton, Don Cooper, Herbert Lee Creecy, Jr., Lamar Dodd, Martin Emanuel Howard Finster, Cheryl Goldsleger, James Herbert, Ruth Laxson, John McWilliams, Katherine Mitchell, Rocío Rodríguez, Edward Ross, and Nellie Mae Rowe. The artwork included in this exhibition is a selection from the MOCA GA permanent collection, by these artists, who were all featured in the Georgia Council for the Arts publication, Georgia Masterpieces: Selected Works from Georgia Museums.

Georgia Masterpieces: Selected Works from Georgia Museums is the result of special funding made to Georgia Council for the Arts from the National Endowment for the Arts through its American Masterpieces national initiative. This limited-edition book provides full-color images and detailed information about the great visual artists of Georgia from Colonial days through the 21st Century. Twenty-seven artists and works from the permanent collection of fourteen museums are featured, including pieces from Georgia's State Art Collection.
