Harriet Leibowitz

b. 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia

Harriet Leibowitz, an Atlanta native, received a BS degree from Boston University and an MFA from Georgia State University. Her imagery explores humanity and speaks to the grace, spirit and inherent internal beauty within the human being. The work is exhibited widely and collected internationally. The images are held by public and private collections including MOCA GA, the High Museum of Art, the Birmingham Museum, Elton John Photography Collection, Charles Cowles Photography Collection, Saks Fifth Avenue, the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Permanent installations include locally the lobbies of Atlantic Center Plaza and 905 Juniper. Her printed media exposure includes Vanity Fair, Vibe, Graphis, Genre, Blue, and numerous fine art anthologies and catalogues.
