E.K. Huckaby was born in 1957 in Thomaston, Georgia. He attended the Atlanta College of Art, graduating with a BFA in 1991. Huckaby has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants including the Jasper Dorsey Award at the Atlanta College of Art and an Individual Artists Grant from the Georgia Council for the Arts. His work has been featured in many group and solo exhibitions, including shows at the High Museum of Art, the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, and MOCA GA. Huckaby is widely admired by collectors and critics for his unusual techniques and use of media. His work is collected nationwide and he has several pieces in the MOCA GA collection.
