Beth Bolgla

b. 1952 in Augusta, Georgia

Beth Bolgla is a visual artist who received her BA from Augusta College in Augusta, GA and her MFA from Georgia State University. She worked primarily as a ceramic artist until 1985, when she began painting on canvas. Bolgla maintained a studio at Nexus Contemporary Arts Center, (now the Atlanta Contemporary Center) for several years, during which she received two Artist Project Grants from the Bureau of Cultural Affairs of the City of Atlanta and three grants from the Georgia Council for the Arts, designed and produced a line of terra-cotta kitchenware for Dean & Deluca’s in New York, and completed numerous commissions. She has had seven solo exhibitions and has participated in over 20 group exhibitions in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Augusta, Birmingham, Rochester, and Aleppo, Syria. Bolgla's work is the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, GA; Ogden Museum of Art in New Orleans, LA; King and Spalding; Alston and Bird in Atlanta, GA; and numerous other corporate and private collections.
