Anya Liftig received her MFA in photography and performance art at Georgia State University and her BA in english from Yale University. Her work has been in solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, NY; University Art Museum at Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS; Joseph Slifka Center at Yale University in New Haven, CT; INCUBATEChicago in Chicago, IL; Youngblood Gallery and Eyedrum Gallery in Atlanta, GA. Her performance installation "Unravel" originally happened at Garage Projects, Stable 1897 in Atlanta, GA and later atthe University of Wisconsin--Madison and then at the D.U.M.B.O. Under the Bridge Festival in Brooklyn, NY. Is documents the deconstruction of a previous sculpture
"Early and Instant Blue" which was comprised of 200 found handmade afghans. |
