Andy Nassise

b. December 1, 1946 in Pueblo, Colorado

Andy Nassise is a potter who uses the figure and vessel as vehicles to express thoughts about the human condition. He received his BFA from Adams State College of Colorado and his MFA from the University of Colorado. Nassise, who taught at the University of Georgia as a ceramics professor, has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and Georgia Council for the Arts, and a research grant form the University of Georgia. His work has been exhibited at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA; Ashville Art Museum in Ashville, NC; Birmingham Museum of Art in Birmingham, AL; and numerous other instiutions throughout the United States.
